As the the only candidate who has children (three) in Malibu schools (and will for the next 18 years), excellently educating our youth is one of my primary objectives and core values.
I’m a lifelong resident who is running for City Council because it has always been my dream to one day give my kids the same idyllic childhood I had in Malibu. But myriad issues are negatively impacting and directly threatening our quality of life. Malibu is under siege by outside agencies and special interests that want to control how we use our land and educate our kids, and whether we will ever be able to significantly improve PCH safety.
The great uncertainty of how Malibu will change - especially in terms of the quality of Malibu High School, traffic and public safety - has made me wonder how realistic or sustainable it will be to raise children here over the next 18 years.
I hope you’ll join me and many other concerned parents and community leaders for this important gathering.
Come join me and the Malibu City Council candidates for a Town Hall Forum at Malibu High School this Thursday night! The forum will be facilitated by the Community Involvement Club and the Youth Commission.
This forum is meant to bring local politics and community together in full circle to talk about the needs of our city. We want to have students and parents get their voices heard and inspire the community to get out and exercise their power to vote!
